Mosaic College Group
Our ministry to 18 to 25-year-olds meets every Sunday night at the MUG at 7:00 p.m. for a time of worship, the Word, and fellowship. Directly after the service, the MUG café is open for a few hours for students to enjoy a cup of Joe and fellowship.
This summer we invite all young adults (age 18-27) to come out to Mosaic for a time of fun, fellowship, and spiritual growth. Each week we will be reading Multiply by Francis Chan and then coming together every Sunday night (6:00 p.m.) to discus some of the insights that we have gleaned from that week’s readings as well as having a time of fellowship and food! Each week we will be meeting at a different location, so make sure you check out the schedule every week.
MULTIPLY BY FANCIS CHAN
Jesus said in Matthew 28:19. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” Just as He commissioned His followers two thousand years ago, Jesus is calling us today to make disciples. However, for many believers a great chasm exists between theology and reality. Many live out their faith in word but not in deed. Jesus said in John 14:15, “If you love me, you will obey what I command.” Are you following the command to make disciples? When was the last time you discipled someone?
Many believers have not been discipled themselves and feel unprepared or inadequate to lead another through this great spiritual journey. These feelings convince us that discipleship is an activity better left up to “trained professionals” and spiritual “giants” of the faith.
In comes Multiply by Francis Chan, a tool that will prepare you to fulfill your calling to make disciples. “It is not a Bible study,” as Francis Chan would insist, but “it is about disciples making disciples.” The book is comprised of 24 chapters, each with a corresponding online video to help discuss different points raised in the book about leading others to Christ. And in light of the Word of God, Multiply was created to encourage followers of Christ to have a view toward reaching every people group in the world with the gospel. This book is a resource to be used by ordinary disciples of Jesus to accomplish our extraordinary calling of making disciples.
